Committee

About the Committee

The committee is made up of 10 elected members meeting every month to discuss issues and progress. We have various working groups aiming at keeping track of particular issues (read more in our Campaigns section). We are always on the lookout for key advisors and contributors who can be co opted for specific issues or campaigns. If you have an issue or professional expertise which you think can be of help let us know. Goals

To bring a unique and diverse community together
Ensure L&Q and other managers provide good services.
To support and promote events and activities that benefit the community and nurture the neighbourly spirit
Learn together what makes our neighbourhood great.
Set and keep important standards and values essential to community life.
To mediate where there are conflicting interests or difficulties
To build and keep an honest record of our work, stories, knowledge and challenges.

How we go about things

We have an elected executive committee of ten and have monthly or bimonthly meetings.
We have set up various campaign groups and people from the committee taking the lead on key issues such as leasehold, ELE, the park charge, grounds maintenance and L&Q service charges.
We have co-opted people on to the committee with specialist knowledge and now set up an advisory panel of experts.
We have worked through tracker and accountability meetings with L&Q, LLDC and the CMLLP
