Playgrounds

We have four playgrounds on the estate:

• The Rain Garden playground, next to the Orchard/Rain Garden.

• The Willow Walk playground in the centre of the estate.

• The Sandpit playground next to the green.

• Nolan Mansions playground, on the Nolan Mansions podium.

Playgrounds are inspected quarterly by a contractor, Safeplay.  where necessary L&Q then contract Safeplay to repair the playground (normally play equipment) or have internal L&Q staff fix the problem.  

Be aware that the sand in the Sandpit playground is open and could be subject to use by animals so please ensure that children wash/sanitise their hands after using the sand.

We press L&Q for copies of the reports so that we know how well they are being inspected and managed; the latest reports are shown below (as of 14 March 2024).  

We have had numerous conversations and meeting with L&Q and Safeplay about the playgrounds and the images used in the reports - you will see that the images used in the reports are woefully out of date and reflect the playgrounds in a pristine state.   We expect that the next reports are fully updated to reflect the current state of the playground.
