Each ward in the borough has a panel and its the gathering and focusing point for all issues related to crime, safety and security. Local ward councilors take part and the police are represented. Here are more details on the role of the ward panel.
The Metropolitan Police have Dedicated Ward Officers (DWOs) who work locally in every ward in the Borough. They patrol local areas, meeting residents and businesses. And find out about and deal with crimes and problems. You can read more about them on Newham Council's website.
The Ward Panel is is an open meeting for people who live, work or study in the Stratford Olympic Park Ward. The usual meeting point is at The Lighthouse Gardens opposite Stratford International DLR Station. Sign up for the next meeting here.
