The committee is made up of 10 elected members meeting every month to discuss issues and progress. We have various working groups aiming at keeping track of particular issues (read more in our Campaigns section). We are always on the lookout for key advisors and contributors who can be co opted for specific issues or campaigns. If you have an issue or professional expertise which you think can be of help let us know. You can find us at committee@chobhammanor.org or one of the main WhatsApp groups (more about WhatsApp groups coming soon!).
Steve Potter, Chair
As chair Steve Potter is keen to see the committee represent the interests of all residents and build good community relations on a unique estate. He is mostly concerned with building an effective executive team with leadership spread among all committee members. In his first year as chair he has worked hard to find people to take leading roles on the committee and has worked with others to set up working groups and sub committees to campaign on better maintenance of the grounds (Gardening Club), challenging the arbitrary, high cost and unfairness of the Park Charge, involvement of Housing Association Residents and a proper basis for communications and community building among residents of Chobham Manor as well as reaching out to the various stakeholders in the building and management and future identity and reputation of the estate. With others on the committee he has been seeking to reset the relationship with L&Q both on the ground with housing managers, caretakers and gardeners and at a senior level.
