Why did we build the tracker?
The CMRA Issue Tracker is primarily a transparency and data gathering endeavour. The way L&Q's housing management is set up is quite complex and prevents them from being as efficient and transparent as we (and they) would like them to be. They are working on integrating a system that will hopefully change the way things work but while we wait for the oil tanker to turn we might as well help ourselves.
What to expect from the tracker?
We have built this tracker in order to inform ourselves about the issues that the community has so we can lobby better on all our behalf. In time, given good maintenance, we will also gather enough data on the recurring issues to be able to formulate them well and propose evidence-backed solutions.
How does the tracker work?
Our tracker is a publicly accessible Notion database of issues, however, commenting and altering the data has been restricted to CMRA members. Our team will be setting the priority for the issues and liaising with L&Q on them. Ideally, we would love to also have L&Q provide updates on the tracker through the comments.
How does the tracker interact with L&Q?
We hope to engage with L&Q's housing leads in good faith and share this tracker with them and hopefully make their work easier and more transparent.
The CMRA Issue Tracker is not an official way to report an issue to L&Q. Please, if you require a reaction from L&Q, log your problems using the usual ways and then fill also in our form to make us aware. This way your individual issue or concern about common issues can be collated and cross checked in relation to other peoples issues in the same block, street or phase of development and across the whole estate.
When you fill in our form, please, provide as much information as possible. We understand it takes time to document everything but we hope in time we will all benefit individually and collectively.
We are aware that some blocks have started their own system for tracking their issues. If so, we'd be very keen to work together and integrate. Let us know at comms@chobhammanor.org.
